Patents in the News I: Plavix 2 SCC Hearing Cancelled

Yesterday, the Apotex v Sanofi-Synthelabo (SCC #35562, on appeal from the FCA) hearing was cancelled due to a settlement between the parties. The hearing was scheduled for today. The Supreme Court was widely expected to clarify issues surrounding the promise doctrine of utility and sound prediction. Such clarification will have to wait for another day.

Raise awareness regarding social, ethical or legal violations surrounding the use or control of technology in our modern society, whether it is local, national or global.

LTSS Membership is open to all full-time and part-time students in any program at the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law.
